A recent study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences found that fluid intelligence, which was previously believed to be an immutable trait, can now be increased with memory exercises. The lead author of the paper, Susanne Jaeggi, was interviewed by the New York Times regarding this study. Dr. Jaeggi is a postdoctoral fellow in psychology at the University of Michigan.
